Fiddles and Bows
People often want to know about my instruments and bows. My main fiddle (photo below) was made in 2017 by Jeff Loen of Kenmore, Washington, and my bow in 2008 by Morgan Andersen of Rosalia, Washington. I feel lucky to have these great musical tools, a dream come true after years of seeking. A friend of mine used to say to me, "Why do you keep trying to find a better fiddle? You always just sound like yourself no matter what instrument you're playing." I finally have the answer for him... when you find the right instrument - and especially, the right bow - it's a lot easier to sound like yourself.
